How to Download All Gmail Emails to Your Computer Easily

Emails are a regular part of our digital life. We all use Gmail to exchange email text messages, images, files and other forms of attachments. Whether it is online bill payments, credit cards, bank accounts, online shopping or fund transfers, they all are linked to our email accounts. They’ve become our digital identity. We often receive digital bank statements from our banker, electronic contract notes from our stock broker, insurance premium receipts from our insurer, and so on. We can never afford to lose this information.

With the increasing number of cyber crimes and online data thefts, there is an immense need to protect our personal and financial information. Hackers use a variety of methods to steal email accounts. If you’re not lucky enough, you’ll end up with your information in someone else’ hand. You’ll no longer have access to your critical emails. You’ll be left at the mercy of the hacker who will demand a ransom of a few hundred to thousand dollars to release your own information. Therefore, taking a regular backup of your emails is always a good idea. You’ll continue to have access to your emails even if your account is compromised.

Downloading Emails Using Gmail Backup Technology

The easiest way to download all emails is to use the SysTools Gmail Backup software. It is an impressive tool that downloads all emails within seconds while keeping your personal information secure and private.

Step1

Visit SysToolsgroup.com and download the Gmail Backup Software.

Step 2

Once the program is downloaded, launch it.

Upon launching the program, it will require your Gmail account credentials. Enter the credentials of the same account that you want to backup offline.

Step 3

After successfully logging in to your official email account, the program will ask you to choose the type of data you want to download. You can download emails, calendars, documents and contacts. In this case, select ‘Emails’.

Step 4

After selecting ‘Emails’ scroll down a bit, and click on ‘Browse’ to select the destination folder. This is the location where the email backup tool will download your Gmail data.

Step 5

Click ‘Start’ to initiate the downloading process. The email backup program will take some time until all the Google emails are downloaded. At the end of the process, the application will display the number of emails successfully downloaded.

Step 6

The email import utility will create a new folder titled your email address. Open the folder and review the downloaded emails. Furthermore, it will also create an ‘Export Report’ that will help you keep a check on the emails downloaded.

Things to Consider…

If you are unable to log-in to the Gmail Backup downloader, there are several things you need to consider. First, you will need to turn off the two-step authentication security feature.

If your problem continues to persist, you might want to turn on the ‘Less Secure App and IMAP’ feature from your Gmail settings. It is a security feature that prevents access to insecure, fishy third-party applications from accessing your Google account.
